The American Library Association Student Chapter

As one of 49 active Student Chapter groups, The FSU College of Communication and Information ALA Student Chapter seeks to promote the growth of its members in accordance with ALA standards, and is supported by the College of Communication and Information. Founded in 1988, the CCI Student Chapter was the 14th to be officially recognized by ALA. By becoming a member of ALA, FSU students gain access to lower membership rates, career opportunities, discounts, national conferences, job listings, newsletters, and invaluable networking opportunities, among other benefits. The student chapter holds monthly meetings which they stream online and include chat so that our distance students can participate and interact with the guest speaker.
