Dear Students,
Next week we will be hosting a panel of five faculty and library practitioners from across the U.S. who will be in Tallahassee to review our ALA-accredited master’s program. This is a routine review that occurs at least once every seven years. The current review will cover the period from 2004 (our last review) through the present. One of the reasons that the panel travels to campus is to meet with students to get their feedback on their experiences and thoughts about the program.
Students in Tallahassee
Please join us for a pizza lunch on Monday, November 19th from 12-1 PM in the Shores Lobby in front of Goldstein Library.
Online Students

The external review panel includes: Terry Weech, University of Illinois; Joseph Janes, University of Washington; Susan Martin, Find My Classmates; Jerilyn Veldof, University of Minnesota Libraries; Jennifer Sweeney, Smith & Lehmann Consulting & adjunct, Drexel University.
The School of Information has been accredited by the ALA since 1958. The school merged with the School of Communication and the School of Communication Disorders in July 2009 to form the College of Communication & Information. Dr. Corinne Jörgensen served as Director from the time of the merger until Fall 2012. Currently, I serve as Interim Director, and am ably assisted by Dr. Lynne Hinnant (Graduate Program Director), Mr. Ebrahim Randeree (Undergraduate Program Director), and Dr. Linda Swaine (Director of Articulation & Assessment).
If you have any questions, please let us know!
